Tie it with a bow

I have an upcoming wedding within my family, which will feature a garden ceremony on the foreshore of Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay followed by a cocktail function at a nearby Yacht Club.

Since it is a wedding, still in the warmer months here in Melbourne and I wear a suit to work every day, I'm deciding to ditch the suit, don a blazer and compliment it with a bow-tie.

I think bow-ties are the perfect accessory for weddings, particularly those that are less formal and more fun. Not to mention they are very much on trend and have been touted by Tom Ford, Kanye West and featured in an edition of Mr Porter's "The Journal".

I did a quick google for some inspiration and these are some of my favourites. The look that I am inclined to go with though is the offering from the local brand Herringbone.
